Web site development, maintenance a breeze with launch of WYMSY
BrightWork launches new, dynamic tool for small-medium businesses, non-profits, and Web designers
MARBLEHEAD, MA--March 30, 2005
Severe weather forced cancellation of many scheduled programs this winter, including one offered to small businesses by The Enterprise Center at Salem State College. But for the first time, informing attendees of schedule changes on the organization's Website has been a breeze, thanks to WYMSY Website Management System, a new Website design and management tool from BrightWork.
"I've developed four Web sites, and in the past making a change was arduous. It was difficult. Everyone would have moaned and groaned because it would be a pain to put new content on the site," said Christine Sullivan, Executive Director of The Enterprise Center. "With WYMSY, all it takes is a few clicks. My staff and I could post content after just a few minutes of training, without having to learn code. It's that easy."
Launched by Marblehead, MA-based BrightWork, Web-based WYMSY enables companies to keep content fresh and current. There is no software to buy, no updates to install: all functionality is included with BrightWork's Web hosting services. Updating content is as easy as editing Word documents, and design changes are automatically carried to all pages. There is also a fully functional e-commerce module included.
"We developed WYMSY for companies that want or need a customized Web site with easy, robust content management capabilities, says Jane Bright, BrightWork's COO. "For Web designers who want to speed Web design, this is a compelling alternative to templates on one end of the spectrum and time-consuming Front Page and Dream Weaver at the other, "
WYMSY is also licensed to Web hosts.
"We have to watch our budget, and having the ability to update our Web site content ourselves quickly and easily has been enormously helpful," says Sullivan. "Also because updating isn't a big deal, it's more likely to happen promptly."
Web hosting by BrightWork, including all WYMSY functionality, ranges from $19-$50/month.
